This business now looks a little different, we have moved from Kensington to a much smaller site in Maroubra. There has been a change of ownership with the new owners now being Physiotherapists Jess Solberg and Lisa Rollo, both who have spent many years working in the Kensington site. We have been lucky enough to keep our fabulous front desk staff and retained several physiotherapy staff including Mark Beaven.
South Sydney Physiotherapy, although a new entity, still strives for to support all your rehabilitation needs. The service we offer include:

PHYSIOTHERAPY SERVICES INCLUDE:
Our experienced Physiotherapist will assess your musculoskeletal issues and identify any restrictions in movement, deficits in strength or abnormal muscle activation patterns. Identifying these gaps in your neuromuscular function will assist us to optimise your rehabilitation.
A provisional diagnosis of your injury will be made, and you will be given a prognosis / estimate time frames of your return to activity. Your Physiotherapist will recommend, if they feel you need any further investigations and direct you to the appropriate services or specialist.
Treatment will involve hands on techniques including joint mobilisation and soft tissue releases and an exercise program specific to your needs.
You will be given a plan including advice and exercises to assist with rehabilitation of the injury with the aim to return to pre-injury function.
EXERCISE BASED REHABILITATION INCLUDES:
An initial assessment to identify any postural issues, musculoskeletal deficiency, strength deficits and issues with range of motion.
Once these have been identified, you will then you will commence a Pilates based program using our state-of-the-art equipment. You can join a private (1:1), semi-private (2-3 people) or mat based class (small group).
PILATES BASED EXERCISE SESSIONS – MAT CLASSES
Floor based exercise classes using various small equipment including foam rollers, small dumbbells, resistance bands, Swiss balls, chi balls. Mat classes focus on challenging your stabilisers, strengthening core stability and improving abdominal endurance, glute activation and strengthening, upper and lower body strengthening, improving posture, mobility and balance.
Classes are 1 hour and have a maximum of 8 per class. Mats are provided, please bring your own towel.
PILATES BASED EXERCISE SESSIONS – EQUIPMENT CLASSES
Equipment based exercise classes include using the Pilates Reformer, Trapeze Table, Pilates Chair and Ladder Barrel depending on your individual needs. These classes can be booked as Private (1:1) or Semi- Private (2-3 to a class) so we can tailor your individual program. Use of the equipment can provide resistance for strengthening and assistance for improving mobility and dynamic stretching depending on your needs. The focus is improving stability and control in order to rehabilitate injuries, reduce imbalances in the body and improve ease of movement.
Classes are for 1 hour, please bring your own towel.
